Understand your gut.
If you’re a person with gut issues–or you just want to improve your gut health-you’ve likely read and heard it all. The contradictory lists of forbidden foods, food plans that are impossible to follow, and confusing information about what can cause symptoms are everywhere.
The reason it’s so overwhelming and contradictory is that every body – and every gut – is unique.
What works for someone else might not work for you. No one has the same gut microbiota, digestion, or gut sensations that you do .
To have a happy gut, you need a holistic and individualized strategy that’s fine-tuned to fit your needs and lifestyle. Working with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in gastrointestinal conditions is key to discovering a gut-friendly lifestyle.
Meet Tiana Sexton, RDN.
I use a holistic, personalized approach that focuses on you as a whole. Together, we’ll work to find lasting solutions to help manage your gut symptoms.
Digestive issues can have a major impact on quality of life. You may avoid certain situations for fear of flare ups, feel like you need to plan your life around bathroom breaks, or even have loved ones who dismiss your symptoms. Know that I believe you, and I want to help you find freedom from fear through holistic and intentional nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
My goal is to help you find relief from the stress, confusion, and unsustainability that comes from living with gastrointestinal issues through my background and education in gastrointestinal health and nutrition. Together, we’ll find effective and lasting management solutions.

What does it look like to work together?
For every client, I take a highly personalized approach. You can read more about my process here. For my GI clients, we will look at possible food triggers, different medical nutrition therapies to implement, and lifestyle strategies.
What if I’m on an elimination diet or the FODMAP diet?
While I use the FODMAP diet in my practice, it is not meant to be used long-term. It can feel restrictive, complicated, and confusing. And, it’s not necessarily a catch-all: it may not be necessary for your symptom management, or it may not be appropriate for your lifestyle.
That’s why working with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in gastrointestinal disorders is important when implementing this diet, or similar elimination diets. Together, we can find a strategy that gives you symptom relief, without feeling unsustainable or upending your lifestyle.
